7:00 AM – Sunrise at Florence is one of the most beautiful sunrises in the world, and worth waking up early for! Check the sunrise time for when you’re visiting. Head out at least 30 minutes before sunrise so you can see the changing colors. We recommend catching the sunrise at Ponte alla Carraia Bridge, or at the Piazza del Duomo. The sunrise at Ponte alla Carraia Bridge was stunning as the romantic golden pink colors reflected off the waters. After sunrise, start your day with a delightful Italian breakfast at a local café. 2. Explore the Piazza del Duomo

Afterward, head to the heart of Florence, Piazza del Duomo. Marvel at the stunning Florence Cathedral, also known as Il Duomo, with its iconic red dome dominating the skyline. Recap: Florence in 24 Hours Itinerary

5:30 AM – Wake up and get ready. Florence is a gorgeous backdrop so you’ll want to wear your best dress, and comfortable shoes for those cobblestones. Avoid heels as they can get stuck in the cobblestones.

6:30 AM – Headout to Ponte alla Carraia Bridge or Piazza del Duomo for sunrise and breakfast.

9:30 AM – Galleria dell’Accademia: Make your way to the Galleria dell’Accademia, home to one of the world’s most famous sculptures, Michelangelo’s David. Admire the beauty and craftsmanship of this iconic masterpiece, along with other remarkable works of art housed in the museum.

11:00 AM – Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace: Cross the Arno River and stroll along the picturesque Ponte Vecchio, an ancient bridge lined with jewelry shops. As you reach the other side, continue walking until you reach the magnificent Pitti Palace. Take a leisurely walk through the Boboli Gardens, enjoying the serene atmosphere and beautiful views of Florence.

Afternoon:

1:00 PM – Lunch in Oltrarno: Head to the Oltrarno district, known for its artisan workshops and charming streets. Choose a trattoria or osteria in this neighborhood to enjoy a delicious Florentine lunch. Savor traditional dishes like ribollita (Tuscan vegetable soup).
